Mark your calendar: on Saturday 5 September 2026, the Plant Enthusiasts' Market returns to Utrecht University Botanic Gardens. With around 70 specialised exhibitors from the Netherlands and abroad, it's set to be one of the largest and most diverse plant markets in the country. With talks, food trucks, and the Gardens themselves as inspiration, there's plenty to explore.

Plant Market
At the Plant Enthusiasts' Market you'll find a wide range of plants: from strong perennials that need little care to special, sometimes rare varieties that require more attention. The exhibitors are happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm, so you won't just leave with healthy plants but also solid advice on the right spot and how to care for your new plants. A meeting place for every plant lover
The Plant Enthusiasts' Market is more than a plant market. It's the place to meet fellow plant lovers: from passionate fellow gardeners to specialist societies happy to share their knowledge. Your entrance ticket also gives you access to the Botanic Gardens themselves: stroll past over 10,000 different plant species and let the diverse gardens inspire you. And when you're ready for a break, the Foodcourt's varied food trucks are the perfect place to rest your feet and refuel.
