In the next edition of the GS-LS PhD event, two speakers will share their experiences on how they combine a scientific career and life in general. 

Klaartje Houben works as facility manager for the uNMR-NL (ultra-high field NMR for the Netherlands) project and for the Utrecht NMR facility, where she collaborates as an NMR expert with groups from chemistry, biology and pharmacy. 

Adrien Melquiond has a part-time appointment as teaching assistant for the UBC (Utrecht Bioinformatics Center) and works the rest of the time as a postdoc in the CSB (Computational Structural Biology) group for the European project BioExcel, a center of excellence for computational biomolecular research. 

Together, they are the full-time parents of three children (8, 6 and 3 years old).
