PhD defence: Explaining Projections of High-Dimensional Data
This research aims to improve projection techniques for visualising high-dimensional datasets. In doing so, we provide valuable support to scientists in forming, refining, or disproving hypotheses. The first contribution extends local explanation techniques to assess data for enhanced understanding. The second contribution explores 3D scatterplots in projections, engaging users more effectively. The final contribution addresses computational stability in multidimensional projections using sensitivity analysis.
