PhACE - PhD Activating Career Event Online
Many people start their PhD thinking that they will continue with a career in academia, whereas in fact only a relatively small proportion of PhD's end up in long-term academic careers. The ‘PhD Activating Career Event’ (PhACE) aims to help PhD's at the end of the doctorate to think about their future career.
Exploring your career options
During this 2-days event PhD students in the penultimate year of their PhD can explore different career options. Do you stay in academia or not? What are the alternative possibilities and how do your skills and competencies fit in to these new career choices?
Date
The event will take place on September 28 and October 5, 2020.
Workshops
There are two workshop sessions. In total 10 different workshops are offered. You can choose if you want to participate in the workshops - they are voluntary.

The event takes place online in Microsoft Teams.

Registration
Registration will open on Monday 24 August 2020.
If you register, we do expect you to participate. If you can't attend after all, please let us know as soon as possible. If you register but don't attend without giving notice, it may have consequenses for participating in future PhACE events.
