Pathways to Sustainability Kickstarter workshop

The Kickstarter workshop marks the formal start of the Incubators teams selected through the Pathways to Sustainability Incubator call 2026. 

The afternoon is designed to help each team get off to a strong start, offering inspiration and practical support for the next steps in their Incubator journey. This is part of the Incubator grant procedure and awarded teams are expected to participate and have an open attitude to the process of co-creation that will be facilitated by this event. At Pathways to Sustainability, we believe that such an open process is key to transformative learning. The workshop will feature sessions which will enable the selected Incubator teams to develop their ideas in collaboration and further build their inter-/transdisciplinary teams.

The workshop is intended for Incubator team members and others who could play a meaningful role in this early phase of the initiatives, including UU researchers and non-UU stakeholders. 

What to expect? 

• Plenary sessions introducing the PtS programme, outlining expectations, and sharing insights from previous Incubators and Signature projects;
• Dedicated team sessions: to get to know one another, sharpen the Incubator idea, identify what (and who) is needed for success, develop or refining your action plan and next steps;
• Special focus on working in inter- and transdisciplinary teams: how to navigate different perspectives and collaborate towards a shared goal;
• Cross-learning between teams, and support from PtS community managers, programme board and project managers.
