Open Monument Day Botanic Gardens
Saturday, September 13, is Open Monument Day. This day, you can visit the Botanic Gardens for free and enjoy a guided tour (in Dutch) in Fort Hoofddijk.
Fort Hoofddijk is at the center of the Gardens. One of the largest Rock garden in Europe is created up and around the fort. You can admire the restored construction from the Gardens up close as well as from the inside during a guided tour.
The guided tours take about one hour each, start at 11.00, 13.30 and 15.00 h and are available for maximum 15 visitors per tour.
There are all kinds of plant stories to inspire you in the Gardens every day: for example, visit the spectacular Rock garden, discover plant stories in the Discovery garden or walk through 900 million years of plant evoltution.
