Kick-Off IOS Community Gender, Migration and Global Justice
Join us for the kick-off of the new IOS community Gender, Migration and Global Justice. The new community brings together the former Focus Area Migration and Societal Change and the IOS Platform Gender and Diversity, creating a new interdisciplinary space for research and collaboration.
The community explores how gender, migration, and global justice intersect, bringing together diverse disciplinary perspectives to address pressing societal challenges. It will foster interdisciplinary research, strengthen connections between researchers, and create opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and engagement with societal partners. Through seminars, workshops, public events, and joint research initiatives, the community aims to develop new perspectives and contribute to debates on inclusive and just societies.
Our kick-off will feature a roundtable discussion on the Final report - Dismantling discrimination. Towards a government that combats and prevents discrimination and racism with Alexandra Timmer (UU), Mirko Noordegraaf (UU) and their colleagues from Utrecht University that worked on the report to the state committee. Marcel Lubbers (UU) will moderate the discussion. The roundtable is followed by plenty of space to meet members of the new community and learn more about its ambitions and activities.
