In this one-day course you will learn how to better understand, design and use infographics, icons and illustrations. An infographic is type of visual communication, incorporating images and icons or illustrations to display a message with very limited use of written text. Ninety percent of the information transmitted to your brain is visual, so it is important to tickle the optic nerves to get people excited about your data (Meyer, J.T. – Infographics for Dummies). This course is recommended to anyone interested in understanding, designing, and using infographics, icons and illustrations. For this course, you should have good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as you will be asked to design and improve your own icons and images. If you need to improve your Illustrator and Photoshop skills please take the course Scientific Artwork with Photoshop and Illustrator first.
