Professor 'Mathematics of Data Science’
On Wednesday 16 september 2026 at 4:15 p.m. prof. dr. Sjoerd Dirksen intends to assume his appointment by giving an inaugural lecture, entitled: 'What are mathematicians for?'.
Prof. dr. Sjoerd Dirksen has been appointed professor on 1 May 2025 at the Faculty of Science to undertake activities in the field of Mathematics of Data Science.
The inaugural lecture can only be attended by invited guests. The Executive Board of Utrecht University hereby cordially invites you to attend the ceremony online. Those who are invited in the Aula will receive a separate invitation.
