Guest lecture: 'International law response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine: accountability, reparations and remedies'

On 15 December, the Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law (Ucall) and the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) are organizing a guest lecture on ‘International law response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine: accountability, reparations and remedies’. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Pavlo Pushkar from the Council of Europe. The event will take place at Drift 13, room 004, from 09:30 until 10:45 (registration not required).

This will be an exceptional opportunity to hear about the newly established Register of Damage for Ukraine (in The Hague), and other accountability mechanisms, reparations and remedies for damage caused by aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Dr. Pavlo Pushkar is head of division in the department for the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and teaches human rights and international law at Catholic University of Lviv and University of Strasbourg. Recently he provided advice to the Director General of the Human Rights and the Rule of Law on international accountability mechanisms including on the establishment of the Register of Damage caused by aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
