GDS Symposium – Digitization and sustainability
At Utrecht University, there is a growing interest in researching the intersection of digital technologies and sustainability. Our researchers are exploring various aspects, from utilizing big data and AI to address climate change and develop smart solutions to examining the environmental impact of our digital society, including energy consumption and e-waste generation.
Symposium
In light of these ongoing efforts, we believe it's time to gather researchers to share their work. Therefore we invite you to participate in a symposium focusing on digitization and sustainability, organized by the special interest group Greening the Digital Society, as part of the focus area Governing the Digital Society, in collaboration with the special interest group Digitalization & AI for Sustainability (DAISY).
The event aims to provide a platform for researchers to present their findings, exchange ideas, and potentially foster collaborations. We invite short presentations (10 minutes max) to share your research or collaborative ideas with colleagues.
Practical information
The half-day symposium is scheduled for Wednesday November 6th from 9.00-13.00, with lunch included, and will take place in room 0.21 of the Utrecht University Library City Centre. Please let us know if you're available by sending a message to Judith Keilbach. Could you please indicate whether you would like to present (10 minutes max), or just attend?
