Prof. Richard Gyug is professor of history and medieval studies at Fordham University.  

Gyug a one of the foremost specialists in Beneventan books, script and liturgy. His lecture will discuss the problems and possibilities of reconstructing a medieval manuscript from individual fragments. In doing so he will provide wonderful insights into the working of the scriptorium of the monastery of Monte Cassino.
