This coming July, the foundations of physics group in the Descartes Centre are hosting Foundations 2018, a highly interdisciplinary event bringing together philosophers, physicists, mathematicians and historians.

Diverse aspects of foundations of physics

This is the 19th in a series that began on a small scale in Portsmouth in 1992, but which has now grown into one of the main conferences in the field. 100 contributed or invited talks will cover the most diverse aspects of the conceptual foundations of physics, and will be accompanied by a public lecture by Sir Roger Penrose (Oxford).

Practical info

The conference opens in the Academiegebouw in the evening of 10 July, and continues at the Uithof (Educatorium), 11-13 July 2018. For further details and registration, see the conference website.
