Key details

Workshop Details:

  • Location: Lili's Proto Lab (Caroline Bleekergebouw 0.22)
  • Cost: Free
  • Spaces: Limited to 12 participants

What You’ll Need:

No materials required, but you can bring a 3D model of your own.

Workshop Goals:

  • Understand the most important aspects of FDM printing, the most popular 3D printing technique!
  • You'll learn how to avoid print failures, solve common issues and print with the highest quality
  • We'll discuss different print materials and their benefits and drawbacks

What to Expect:

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn about Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing, one of the most accessible and widely used 3D printing technologies. This workshop builds upon our FDM 3D printing video tutorial (below), adding understanding about the 3D print process, best slicing practises and much more!

You'll leave with the confidence to independently operate an FDM 3D printer, understanding the key steps involved, from preparing a design to managing the print process. We'll discuss the broader possibilities of 3D printing and explore its limitations, so you can envision how to integrate it into your projects. You'll end the workshop by printing a 3D model of your choosing.

We look forward to printing with you!
