Faculty Club - November Club Evening: Thanksgiving

In November, the Faculty Club Club Evening will be dedicated to Thanksgiving: a celebration of togetherness, gratitude and connection. Enjoy a cosy evening with live music, a short lecture on the origins and traditions of Thanksgiving, and a delicious daily special at the Faculty Club.

During the lecture, we will explore the story behind Thanksgiving – from the Pilgrims to the turkey – and briefly reflect on the outcome of the US midterm elections and what it means for the United States.

The Club Evening is the perfect opportunity to meet colleagues, alumni and other members of the university community in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests are warmly welcome.

The evening is free of charge. Would you like to join us for dinner? Please reserve a place for the daily special in advance.

Programma:  

• 17:00–19:00 – Happy Hour with live music (open entry)
• 18:30–18:50 – The story of Thanksgiving: from the Pilgrims to the turkey
  (with a brief reflection on the outcome of the US midterm elections)
• 19:15–21:00 – November Daily Special
  Be surprised by a delicious daily special and enjoy conversations with colleagues, alumni and guests (reservation required).
• 21:00 – End of the evening

Location: Faculty Club, entrance via the University Hall (Domplein 29, Utrecht)

Practical information

The November Daily Special is optional and costs €17.50 per person (reservation required). The Club will provide the snacks, and drinks can be ordered at the bar throughout the evening. During Happy Hour, drinks are available at half price.
