Faculty Club Excursion: Visit to the Council of State

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the Council of State during this special Faculty Club excursion. The Council of State is one of the most important advisory bodies of the Dutch government and the highest general administrative court in the Netherlands. During this guided tour, you will gain unique insight into the work, history, and significance of this remarkable institution.

The tour will be led by spokesperson mr. Pieter-Bas Beekman, alumnus of Utrecht University. He will share insights into the work of the Council of State, the role it plays within the Dutch constitutional state, and guide you through the historic monumental building on Kneuterdijk.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to reflect on the visit over a drink and exchange experiences.

Programma:

• 4.45–5.00 pm: Arrival at the Council of State
• 5.00–6.30 pm: Welcome, introduction to the work of the Council of State, and guided tour of the building, led by spokesperson mr. Pieter-Bas Beekman (Utrecht University alumnus)
• 6.30–7.00 pm: Opportunity to reflect on the visit over a drink
• 7.00 pm: End of the excursion

The participation fee for the excursion is €15.00 per person.
