From 25 June till 30 July the tapestry ‘Being a University’ will be exhibited in the Foyer (level 1) near de lecture halls in the UMC Utrecht. The artwork is freely accessible.
Come and explore the artwork together and discover multiple perspectives on the university – those in the artwork, those of your companions and your own. What role does a university play in society? How do you view this as a student, staff member, or city resident?
Background
This tapestry by artist Mart Veldhuis is based on three dialogues between students and staff about how they see the university. These dialogues and the artwork are part of the Comenius education innovationproject 'Open Mind', that aims to stimulate dialogue with art and creative methods.
