Exhibition: Environmentalist Illustration with Angie Vanessita
For more than 15 years, Angie Vanessita, a Critical Pathways Fellow 2024, has been working with grassroot associations and collectives to create graphic materials for the defense of territories, human rights, and the rights of nature. Her illustrations have supported social and environmental struggles across Latin America.

Her work invites us to imagine sustainable, post-capitalist futures, using art as a tool to visualize new possibilities for the planet. Through color, resistance, and creativity, these illustrations bring to life the struggles for environmental justice and territorial defense.
Introducing the exhibition, there will be a short talk by Angie where she will share insights into her artistic journey, which spans illustration, environmental activism, urban art, and editorial design. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about how her artwork connects to broader social and environmental movements.
