Continuous course innovation: practical tips and insights from five years of Living Pasts, Exploring Futures

Language: English
Workform: Inspiration session, teacher talk
Join the Living Pasts, Exploring Futures team (winner of the UU Team Award 2024) for a pragmatic session on continuous reflection and innovation in course design.
Through real-life examples of key decisions shaped by student feedback over the years, we will showcase effective strategies for guiding the course innovation process, and collaboratively discuss how to apply these in your own course (re-)design. Together, we will also explore how to recognize when it’s best to pause on new ideas, ensuring that innovation enriches—rather than disrupts—the learning experience.
In this session you will learn how to identify areas for improvement in your course design and the critical role of both student and facilitator feedback.
We will share practical methods for gathering and using this feedback to inform course design decisions, helping you create a dynamic, engaging, and relevant learning environment. We encourage you to join the open discussion, where we can all share our own experiences and insights on course design and innovation, enriching the collective learning.
This session will be hosted by the Living Pasts, Exploring Futures team.
