From 20 to 22 April the conference 'Material Cultures of Music Notation' will take place. This conference brings together specialists in the field of music notation in different musical genres, historical periods, and cultures.
The goal is to stimulate such transdisciplinary collaborations, specifically in dialogue with the study of material culture, technology, and media. Keynote speakers will be Dr Beth Williamson (Art History, Bristol), Prof. Kiene Brillenburg Wurth (Comparative Literature, Utrecht), and Dr Roger Moseley (Music and media studies, Cornell).
