"Cities and global change" with Barbara Oomen

This event is meant for all alumni living in South-, East-, and South-East Asia.

On 11 August we welcome you to join us on Zoom for a short talk and Q&A with
prof. Barbara Oomen about “Cities and global change". Prof. Oomen holds a chair in the Sociology of Human Rights at Utrecht University. Her research concerns the interplay between law and society, with a special emphasis on human rights and cultural diversity. She was also the Dean of UU's Liberal Arts and Sciences College in Middelburg (UCR).

Afterwards we invite you to stick around for the networking drinks (bring you own). We will split the group up in three rounds of breakout-rooms for the drinks. We categorize you based on country, based on academic background and a round to choose your own conversation partner(s). A great way to get to know other UU alumni all over South-East Asia.

This event takes place via Zoom. When you register you will receive all log-in details via email a few days prior to the event.
Time: 3pm in the Netherlands (8pm GMT+8 / 9pm GMT+8)
