Celebrating the Queer African Diaspora: An Intersectional Exhibition

On May 31st 2025, the African and Caribbean Heritage Network (ACHN) will organize an event as part of the UGlobe student engagement initiative. To highlight the beautiful different colors the Black and Queer community is capable of radiating, ACHN will host an intersectional art exhibition.

This event will celebrate the queer African diaspora in Utrecht through art, performance, and documentary. The program includes spoken word, musical performances, an art showcase, a documentary screening, and a ballroom (vogue) workshop. The aim is to amplify Black queer voices, highlight the importance of intersectionality in LGBTQIA+ spaces, and foster meaningful conversations.

African and Caribbean cuisine will also be available.
