Book launch: the ideological scramble for Africa
On the 19th of April a book launch will be held on the ideological scramble for Africa.
Odd Arne Westad, Yale University (online), Alanna O’Malley, Leiden University, Walter Gam Nkwi, Leiden University and Ferghall Vlaun, the African and Caribbean Heritage Network at Utrecht University will talk with the author of 'The Ideological Scramble for Africa', Frank Gerits, about his book and about the importance of African international history for international relations scholarship and university education. Chaired by Liesbeth van de Grift, chair of the History of International Relations section.
This event is sponsored by the Centre for Global Challenges at Utrecht University and co-organised by the Decolonisation Group at Utrecht University and the Global Cold War Group at Utrecht University.
