Book launch: "Environmental Governance in Indonesia"

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of the book "Environmental Governance in Indonesia" on March 20th, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET. The book offers an overview of the state-of-the-art of environmental governance in Indonesia, engages with bottom-up (national and local) perspectives, theory, and operationalization of theories/frameworks, and aims to engage multiple environmental governance actors (national to local) in different sectors.
The book is edited by Dr. Annisa Triyanti of the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development and is the first English-edited book focusing on Environmental Governance in Indonesia. Therefore, it is a very exciting opportunity for colleagues in The Netherlands to engage with the impressive group of experts assembled to reflect on the book during this event.
This event will feature a panel of experts who will discuss the book's main themes and takeaways on environmental governance. Following the panel, there will be a discussion session with the editors, chapter authors, and participants.
Further details about the book and the event are available on the Earth System Governance Project website. This event also marks the debut of the South-South initiative's webinar series of the Earth System Governance Project.
The launch will be held in a hybrid format, with both physical attendance at Utrecht University's Bestuursgebouw 0.24 Van Lier & Egginkzaal, Heidelberglaan 8 Utrecht, and online via Microsoft Teams.
The Earth System Governance Project is a global, interdisciplinary research network advancing knowledge at the interface between global environmental change and governance. The project aims to explore political solutions and novel, more effective governance systems to cope with global environmental change. The network connects and mobilizes scholars from the social sciences and humanities working from local to global scales. The International Project Office is hosted at Utrecht University's Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development.
