Bi-monthly meeting focus area Migration and Societal Change

to

On the 23rd of March we invite you to our next bit-monthly meeting, from 16:00-17:30.

This will be the second instalment of the bi-monthly meetings of the focus area. During these meetings we want to give members of the focus area the opportunity to present and discuss their projects and research, as well as invite everyone to some drinks afterwards. We hope to create an informal and relaxed atmosphere during our bi-monthly meetings to foster ideas for future interdisciplinary cooperation between scholars.

Our meeting will take place on Thursday March 23 at 16.00 at Janskerkhof 2-3, room 0.01. We happy to announce that four members of the focus area will present their past research, present work or future projects to you. Verena Seibel will present on her current research project on migrants’ attitudes and knowledge about the welfare state which has received Seed Money funding from the focus area. Valentina di Stasio will talk about her HORIZON funded project Equalstrength. Salvatore Nicolosi will discuss the idea of a summer school for the focus area, and advertise his and Cedric Ryngaert's workshop on the accountability for externalisation of migration control. And last but not least, Bastiaan Bouwman will present his future project on the history of human rights and refugees for which the focus area is a collaborator.

We are looking forward to our next bi-monthly meeting and hope to see you there!
