The programme ensures that data specialists at Utrecht University have a shared level of understanding about the overall trends and expectations in the field of research data management and open science. Furthermore, you will meet your peers and become part of the knowledge and expert network of Research Data Management Support (RDM Support).
This way you will be up to date with available services and tools and you will be able to deliver good quality support to your research community.

This autumn we offer a new series of RDM workshops. The programme is divided into four sessions. You can attend either one, some or all of them.
Privacy and security
The afternoon will be divided in different sessions.
14.00 – 15.00 Privacy (by Artan Jacquet)
You will learn about the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and its impact on research. The different aspects of personal data will be discussed. How do you limit risks and the relation between privacy and open science?
15.00 – 16.00 Information security of research data (Mo Bosma)
A roadmap through the jungle of requirements and possibilities to safe and easy process research data, especially privacy sensitive data.
