UU Welcome Week
Utrecht University wants you to feel welcome and at home at the university. The UU Welcome Week is your first introduction to the university and city and helps you find your place!
The program takes place the week before classes start. The UU Welcome Week for semester II (2024/2025) will take place on Friday the 31st of January and Saturday the 1st of February 2025. Make sure you arrive before this date!
Sign-ups for the UU Welcome Week 2025 have not opened yet. You will soon be able to register via a link on this website!
Why participate in the UU Welcome Week?
The events during the Welcome Week are specially designed for international students who are new to the city and Utrecht University. They give you a quick and fun introduction to your new environment.
Here are some more reasons why you should join:
- Meet your fellow international students! You will be placed in a group of approximately 10 to 20 new students. Your group will be guided by a student mentor. This is a perfect way to meet people who are in the same boat and start making new friends!
- Get to know the city of Utrecht and the University! During the programme, we will host a number of events and activities designed to help you become acquainted with the university and learn more about Dutch culture by taking part in interactive workshops, sessions and activities.
- Arrange your practical matters and ask any questions you have! When you have just arrived in a new country, all the practical matters may seem overwhelming. No worries: we’ve got you covered! During the UU Welcome Week, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and figure out everything you need to do together with your mentor and fellow students.
