Orientation Day

Welcome to the UU Orientation page. It is essential that you get the best preparation when you’re about to start your program at the Utrecht University. Therefore we invite you to take part in the Orientation. Mark your calendar! Thursday 29 August and Friday 30 Aaugust the Orientation will take place.

Why participate in the Orientation?

The events of the Orientation are specially designed for International students who are new to the city and the University. This way you will get a quick and fun introduction to your new environment.

Not convinced? Here are some more reasons why you should join the Orientation!

  • Meet your fellow International and Dutch students. You will be placed in a group of approximately 15 to 20 new students. A perfect way to start making new friends! Two experienced second year students, Dutch with exchange experience or International, will acts as guides. They will take you to the various events and answer all your questions.
  • Get to know Utrecht. The events of the Orientation will take place at different locations around the city. With your mentor group you will explore the city centre and the Utrecht Science Park.
  • Get acquainted with your faculty and or programme. Learn more about your faculty and education programme when you attend your faculty introduction.
  • Get first-hand experience with Dutch Student Life. At multiple events you will get the opportunity to participate in cultural activities, sightseeing and getting to know all about the Dutch through information markets and fun and social events.

The Orientation is a complimentary service from the Utrecht University. This means you don’t have to pay any registration fees. Just fill out this registration form and make a great first step towards settling in Utrecht!
