Student organisations

Studying at Utrecht University means studying in a vibrant city, with a good atmosphere and a bustling student community made up of many different student organisations.

While some focus on offering a good time, others centre around a religion, a sport or a shared cultural interest (e.g. singing, photography).

Most courses have their own study association that organises – besides social activities – lectures and excursions that may be beneficial to your studies.

ESN Utrecht

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus providing opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development.

Sportraad Utrecht

For 51 years sports council Utrecht looks after the interest of student athletes and student sport associations. Through #TeamUtrecht we attempt to enlarge the bond between athletes and increase the sport participation.

  • Erasmus Student Network (ESN)

    ESN is a non-profit international student organisation that offers opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development.

  • BuddyGoDutch

    BuddyGoDutch helps international students meet Dutch people and vice versa so you can learn about each other’s culture.

  • LGBT+ student association U.H.S.V. Anteros

    U.H.S.V. Anteros organises many activities, from social events and parties to boat trips on the canals through Utrecht city.

  • Green Office Utrecht (GOU)

    GOU is a platform for students and employees of Utrecht University where sustainable ideas are shaped and projects are launched.

  • Studium Generale

    Studium Generale organises public events with scientists and thinkers at the interface between science and society, including lectures and talk shows.

  • AIESEC

    AIESEC is a non-profit international student organisation that arranges voluntary work and internships abroad.

  • SIB-Utrecht

    SIB-Utrecht is a student association that combines Dutch student life with thought-provoking public activities such as talks, debates and workshops!

  • Sportraad Utrecht

    The Utrecht Sports Council is keen to use this student sports community to boost a sense of solidarity, social bonding, participation in sport and performance in Utrecht.
