Multisource Feedback is one of the many programmes that the university uses as part of Scholarship of Teaching & Learning to evaluate its own education together with lecturers.

Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) stands for a cultural change within higher education. Lecturers become enthusiastic to scientifically evaluate their own education and share knowledge on education in their own discipline with each other by doing so. In this, the accent is less on general educational theory creation, but on the application of educational knowledge and theories in education for one's own field of expertise.

The Centre for Academic Teaching supports the cultural change by showcasing good examples and making them available to fellow lecturers and by bringing lecturers in contact with each other by means of communities and meetings. In a wide range of programmes and funds of the centre, SoTL is a part of the mission. It also supports scholarship applications at the national Comenius programme. The ambition is to start a Teaching Scholarship Programme in 2019.

Scholarship of Teaching & Learning is one of the cornerstones of the Centre for Academic Teaching of Utrecht University. Besides the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning, this centre also focuses on the cornerstones of education innovation and lecturer professionalisation.
