Masterclass Responsible Conduct of Research for PhD Supervisors at UMC Utrecht

PhD supervisors play a crucial role in shaping a strong and responsible research culture at UMC Utrecht. Supervisors are expected to model and teach scientific integrity, and to lead in creating a research environment that fosters trust, openness, and accountability.

To support and strengthen this role, the Executive Board of UMC Utrecht has approved the launch of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) workshop for PhD supervisors on 14 July 2026. Starting September 2026, this Masterclass will be compulsory for all PhD supervisors at UMC Utrecht.

*Please note that this masterclass is for PhD supervisors at UMC Utrecht only*

Through a blended learning format, PhD supervisors will explore (the modern challenges in) RCR and engage in open discussions on integrity dilemmas that arise in daily practice. This training serves UMC Utrecht's broader goal of fostering a culture of collective awareness, commitment, and expertise in RCR.
