Updates from the SIG Learning Analytics

In this blog we would like to share some updates regarding the SIG Learning Analytics (LA).

Meet the new team

With Professor Liesbeth Kester’s departure from UU and our desire to collaborate more closely with UU’s LA Innovation Team, we’ve updated our SIG coordination team to reflect both research and implementation perspectives.

• SIG LA research representatives: Matthieu Brinkhuis, Anouschka van Leeuwen, Melis Dülger
• SIG LA implementation representative: Marije Goudriaan (SO&O)

Communication channel

We used to have both a mailing list and a Teams environment. To make communication smoother and more interactive, we’re moving everything to our SIG LA Teams environment. This will be our main place for sharing updates, ideas, and collaboration opportunities.

New Yearplan

To support knowledge sharing and community-building, we’re planning these regular activities each year:

• Informal SIG LA lunches (3 or 4 times a year)
• Joint travel/meet-up at the yearly LAK conference (March/April)
• Presentation at the ADS SIG community day (April)
• SIG LA community day in the Fall

We will update you about these events via the Teams page.
