Documents related to the organization and implementation of LA at Utrecht University
LA is employed at UU following pedagogical and ethical guidelines that we outline in our LA policy. Each LA initiative follows our LA Roadmap before implementation to ensure the project adheres to our guidelines. The documents below explain our approach in more detail.
Publications and presentations about our work
- On June 18, 2024 we hosted the National LA day at Utrecht University. A summary with links to the presentations can be found here
- On November 29, 2024, we hosted an internal LA day at Utrecht University. A summary can be found here
- Our F-ACT project was featured in the Npuls Magazine student-facing Learning analytics.
- Our study advisor dashboard was published as an article in Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence
- Our Roadmap received best paper award at the LAK24 conference. The paper can be found in the proceedings, starting on page 9.
LA in external societies
The relevance of LA is recognized in increasingly more educational institutions and LA societies have been created on a national and international level.
SURF: At the national level, SURF has a special interest group (SIG) LA that regularly organizes events and writes blog posts.
SoLAR: At the international level, the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR ) is the leading organization concerning LA. They organize the yearly Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK) conference. UU is an Institutional Member of Solar, meaning that all UU employees can become SoLAR members for free and can get a discount on attending the LAK conference. To become a member, go to the Solar membership page select individual membership, and enter the code for Utrecht available on the intranet
