Registration period
The registration period for Block 1 courses will open on Monday 22 June.
The Course Guide will be available below from Friday 19 June and it contains information about the courses offered by the different faculties of Utrecht University.

Course levels: Bachelor's and Master's courses
The courses are categorized by faculty. For each course, we mention the course title and the course level.
Bachelor's courses
- Introductory level
A course in the first year of a Bachelor's programme. These courses provide an introduction to a subject and usually require little or no prior knowledge of the specific topic. However, participants are generally expected to have a level of education comparable to a Dutch secondary school diploma that grants access to higher education (VWO) or an equivalent qualification, as well as basic academic reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. - Elaborating level
A course in the second year of a Bachelor's programme. These courses build on introductory knowledge and often require some familiarity with the subject or related academic skills. Participants are expected to have solid academic reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.. - Advanced level
A course in the final year of a Bachelor's programme. These courses are more specialized and assume that students already have a solid background in the subject area and well-developed academic reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Master's courses
A course in a Master's programme. These courses are highly specialized and build on knowledge and skills acquired during a Bachelor's programme. Participants are expected to have a strong academic background in the relevant field, be comfortable with academic reading and writing, and be able to work independently at an advanced level.
How to choose a suitable course
When selecting a course, consider:
- Your educational background and previous studies.
- Your knowledge of the subject area.
- Whether you meet the prerequisite knowledge listed in the course description.
- Your experience with academic reading and writing in English.
- The amount of time you can dedicate to the course.
- Whether the course level matches your academic background and experience.
If you are unsure whether a course is suitable for you, we recommend choosing a lower-level course or contacting the Incluusion team via incluusion@uu.nl for advice before applying.

Make sure to copy the code of the course (indicated before the name) from here below, and paste it in the OSIRIS catalogue. There you can read more information about the course content, requirements and schedule. Read the information about each faculty and course carefully, so you can choose the faculty and course that suits your interests, your highest obtained educational level, and your academic background. Check whether you meet the course requirements in the course description.
Please do not contact course coordinators or teachers directly about your application. All communication regarding applications should go through the Incluusion team. Applications that do not follow this procedure may not be considered.
