Board of Studies

The Board of Studies of the Graduate School of Geosciences is responsible for the development, coordination and quality of both the Master’s and PhD programmes. The Board of Studies meets at least twice a year and discusses strategic matters such as the quality of the Master’s and PhD programmes, the process of quality assurance and future developments in research and education that are relevant for the training and degree programmes.

The Board of Studies is chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences and is co-chaired by the Vice-Dean for Research and Vice-Dean for Education. Other members of the Board of Studies are the directors of research and directors of education of the four departments and associated three teaching institutes: Earth Sciences, Physical Geography, Human Geography and Planning, and Sustainable Development. Master’s students and PhD candidates are represented in the Board of Studies by one member each.
