Online education and students with a disability
Some students with disabilities are not always able to follow online education properly. How do you deal with this as a lecturer? The ECIO, the Centre of Expertise for inclusive education, has collected many tips on their website and here. NB at UU we use a number of selected tools. Not all tools discussed on this site of ECIO are safe in terms of privacy and information security. If you want advice about this, please contact Educate-it. Studying without Limitations has created a guideline that can help to make your education digitally accessible.
In order to support students with (but also without disabilities), UU offers its students the Skills Lab. Online you will find various online trainings, for example tips for writing and studying from home, but also trainings to tackle personal problems.
During the Strengthen Your Education Week 2021, student Daniël talked about the well-being of students with learning disabilities. All kinds of useful, practical tips were shared there. Watch the video here (Dutch spoken).
