Modules Didactics for Continuing Education

Universities, in addition to education for initial students, also have Continuing Education as their task. Education for (external) professionals requires a certain design and supervision. In order to support EWUU lecturers in the (further) development of this type of education and to learn from each other, the alliance partners offer the course 'Didactics for Continuing Education’. In Utrecht, these modules are provided by the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning.

Module 1: Visie en kenmerken van didactiek voor ovp

In module 1, vision on CE and characteristics of appropriate CE didactics are central. We first discuss reasons to develop lifelong learning on a macro (national), meso (organizational) and micro level (individual teacher). Then, we discuss the characteristics of didactics for CE. Does this differ from didactics for initial students, and how?

Objective: After Module 1, participants are able to formulate a vision on CE and are able to explain what characterizes CE didactics.

Time investment: 8 hours

For participants who want to supplement or refresh their knowledge of curriculum design, we provide a module 0. Time investment: 1-4 hours.
