Educational Leadership Programme
The continuous development of education and teaching and increasing internationalisation reinforce the need for educational exploration and educational leadership. With this programme, Utrecht University aims to be of outstanding international quality and invests in further development of academic teaching.
The intensive educational leadership programme is unique and meant for academics that operate on the management level of academic teaching. The programme consists of eight multiple-day thematic meetings, an individual project and one or two study tours.
Results
Upon completion of the programme, participants are able to:
- Make an adequate analyses of complex educational issues
- Design and implement practical solutions for current educational issues
- Utilise skills to stimulate, organize and support the development of teachers and innovation of education
Data
Every two years a new edition of the programme starts in June until September of the following year. The 17th edition started in June 2023 and runs until September 2024. The 18th edition will start in June 2025.
Registration
Participants for this programme are presented by their dean. For the programme starting in June 2025, candidates can be nominated by their dean until 1 February 2025 at the latest. The board of the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning decides about the final admission to the programme.
