Research into education within a specific discipline

Research into education within a specific discipline is research into higher education that focuses on a single specific academic discipline.  

Such (sub)fields are closely linked to the discipline in question, for example in terms of methods, paradigms and knowledge from the research discipline. Many (sub)domains have their own journals (e.g. The Law Teacher), conferences (e.g. The European Society of Psychology Learning and Teaching) and research groups within Utrecht University (e.g. Geography & Education).
