Research and experiences
Together with teachers, the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning evaluates all launched innovation projects and teaching innovations for their added value for teaching quality. This is done in several ways:
- Case studies using the CIMO logic
- Student and teacher experiences with teaching tools
- Research on their own teaching with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
The Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning offers teachers a wide range of IT tools for various educational purposes, the added value of which for teaching has already been established by other UU teachers. This involves working as evidence-informed as possible. By sharing the experiences of fellow teachers in innovating and strengthening their teaching alongside research results, UU teachers can decide for themselves whether and how they want to strengthen their teaching. This bottom-up approach, in which educational change is demand-driven and not imposed, ensures that teachers retain ownership of their teaching.
