AI workshop series

Are you not so familiar with Generative AI yet? Or are you not so sure how to use Generative AI in your teaching or your own work? Then this workshop is ideal for you!

In this workshop you will learn the basics of Generative AI, including the (ethical) issues, but also all the possibilities. You will actively work on different assignments to discover how you can use GenAI in your own practice. You will work with different chatbots and learn how to write a good prompt. After this session you will know how to apply GenAI practically and responsibly in your own practice! 

It is important for students to know what is expected of them when using Generative AI. How do you discuss this with students? How do you help them become AI-literate? How do you design your learning activities so that they encourage reflection rather than ‘cognitive offloading’? 

In this workshop, you will gain context and tools to communicate effectively with students about the use of GenAI in their education. We offer various template presentations for you, as a lecturer, to discuss with students how they can use GenAI in a responsible and effective manner.  

How can I make my assessment more resilient to GenAI? Using a step-by-step plan, you will examine your own assessment materials to identify potential vulnerabilities.

We begin this interactive workshop with a brief introduction to the impact of GenAI on your programme’s assessment framework and at course level. You will carry out your own analysis of the learning objectives and assessment tasks within your course. Based on this, you will brainstorm possible adjustments, taking the overall assessment programme into account. By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear idea of how to make your course more resilient to GenAI.
