La Tentina

Looking for a venue for a larger event? For that, we offer La Tentina. These two connected white tents are located on our event meadow next to our main entrance. The meadow has its own entrance gate on the Budapestlaan. In combination with La Tentina, the meadow is very suitable for summer drinks and barbecues for the whole family or your organisation.

Availability

La Tentina is available for rent from mid April until mid October 2026. Please contact botanische.tuinen@uu.nl for availability.

Capacity La Tentina

The venue has a standard café set-up for 100 persons. If a different set-up is desired, you can prepare this yourself or consult our Office team if this can be arranged for you. This incurs additional costs. After the event, the space must be left in it's standard setup.

Facilities La Tentina & the Event Meadow

Bar, tables, chairs as well as some high tables with bar stools
Some large parasols
On the Event Meadow some large picnic tables, for 6 persons per table, and some steel benches are available
Power is available, for example for charging a laptop or phone
Wi-Fi internet

Drinks and barbecue

You can also rent La Tentina and the Event Meadow for drinks and/or barbecue.

Catering

Our in-house caterer Botanica Catering provides delicious coffee and tea, delicacies, lunch, drinks, a buffet or a barbecue. La Tentina can be rented in the evening when your group is at a minimum of 25 guests and not without the use of our caterer. Rachel de Groot and Berry Dirven from Botanica Catering are happy to think along with you about the possibilities for your event and they make a personal offer. If La Tentina is available, you may contact them yourself.
