Venue hire and catering
Utrecht University Botanic Gardens offer a unique and inspiring location for all kinds of occasions. From completely catered informal lunches to awaydays with your team. Rent one of our tents — Fort View or Katsura — and enjoy the green surroundings out on the Meadow. In the evening, our Garden Café is available for reservations. Complete your gathering with our varied catering options: from a coffee break to a delicious barbecue, there is something to suit every occasion.
Availability
- As of 1 March 2026, the Garden Café will be available again from 5pm.
- From mid-May 2026, we will be renting out the tents Fort View and Katsura on the Meadow
- The Serre, the Wachendorff Room and the Educational Lab are no longer available for rent due to the renovation of the Tropical greenhouses.

Are you interested in renting one or more of our locations? Below you can read more about the locations and possibilities. You can then fill in the application form for venue hiring. The rental price of the rooms is calculated per part of the day. At the moment, a room must be requested at least 10 working days in advance.
