Venue hiring and catering
The Botanic Gardens of University Utrecht offer a unique location for all kinds of events. From completely catered informal lunches to formal network receptions. Catering is available as you want is: from just drinks to extensive barbecues. For your specific purpose the attractive tents are available, next to the new Arboretum. For the evening you may reserve the Garden Cafe.
Availability
- As of 1 March 2026, the Garden Café will be available again from 5 p.m.
- As of 1 April 2026, we will be renting out a number of tents on the Event Field.
- The Serre, the Wachendorff Room and the Educational Lab are no longer available for rent due to the renovation of the Tropical Greenhouses.

Are you interested in renting one or more of our locations? Below you can read more about the spaces and possibilities. You can then fill in the application form for venue hiring. The rental price of the rooms is calculated per part of the day. At the moment, a room must be requested at least 10 working days in advance.
