Selection
Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Utrecht University is a small-scale, intensive programme intended for ambitious students. That is why every year a maximum of 75 students will be admitted to the programme. To be considered for admission, you must have the right diploma and pass the selection procedure. On this page you can read more about this choice, what it means for you and how you can participate in the selection procedure.
Why in Utrecht
The selection procedure for the PPE programme is designed to ensure that we can offer an intensive programme to students who have the ability and ambition to study political and economic issues in an interdisciplinary manner. You will have to submit several documents so that we can assess your ability to successfully complete the programme within the planned duration of three years. It is in our and your interest to ensure in advance that students are a good fit for the programme. The admissions committee will strive to select a diverse, (inter)national group of students. The selection procedure consists of a number of stages, which you can view below.
Rules
The outcome of the PPE Selection will be communicated by the end of March and the end of April. For candidates applying with a non-Dutch diploma, please note that you can only start the programme when you are admitted for the Credential Evaluation process as well as selected for PPE and once you have met the requirements for both processes.
