Every year, you have courses in which you work together with people from different fields, to analyse and try to solve sustainability problems from all directions.

Lotte Bakker

During the last years of my high school career, I started thinking about possible Bachelor's studies. This was a challenge for me; I was interested in many different things, ranging from physics to history. I therefore started to look at relatively broad studies in which specialization was still possible. By accident, the Bachelor's programme Global Sustainability Science (GSS) crossed my path, a fairly new study with many different directions.

I did not regret my decision for a second after starting this Bachelor's. Besides the fact that GSS is a broad study - you can focus on the political aspects but also on the more physical energy transition - there is also a lot of interaction between the directions. Every year, you have courses in which you work together with people from different fields, to analyse and try to solve sustainability problems from all directions.

Are you interested in sustainability and in working with students from all over the world to contribute to the solution? Then GSS is the study programme for you! In addition to the many interesting lectures and work groups, there is also a lot of space for contact with your fellow students. Within GSS I have found my place among all friendly and open-minded students. I'm positive you will find your place here too!
