About the hosts

Dr Saskia Stevens
Dr Saskia Stevens

Dr Saskia Stevens is assistant professor in Ancient History and Classical Civilization. She is specialised in the history and archaeology of the Roman Period. Her research focuses on the significance of boundaries in the Roman Empire and she has a broad interest in Roman urbanism, housing and urban living conditions. She is also bachelor coordinator of the History Department and is, as such, involved in the organisation of the History programme’s curriculum and information days.

I am Justin Seydoux, 21, and I am Swiss/American, but grew up in Switzerland. I am currently specialising in International Relations, more specifically I have been studying Globalisation and Human Rights. Next to Uni I am learning Dutch and I am part of the Utrecht Debating Society. I am more of a tea than coffee guy and believe that the bike is the best invention since sliced bread.
