Extra activities for international visitors

Neude - One of the many squares in Utrecht full of cafe culture

In addition to finding out more about your Bachelor’s programme(s) of choice, we want you to feel welcome when you visit us.

If you are visiting our Open Day on Saturday 16 March from abroad make sure you sign up for our programme for international visitors. During the programme we will explain some of the practicalities of being an international student in Utrecht as well as introducing you to some current international students who can share their experience.

Programme for International Visitors (times and locations to be confirmed)

Welcome & presentation
Find out everything you need to know about studying and living in Utrecht, from housing to financing options. We will talk you through the application process and you will have the chance to ask questions as well.

Guided city tour
Get to know our beautiful city, from its historic landmarks to its student hotspots. Our tour guides will pick you up directly from the presentation.

Meet & Greet – International ‘Borrel’
Experience ‘gezelligheid’ (something like relaxed, sociable cosiness) over drinks and Dutch nibbles in the city centre - the guides will drop you at the location after the tour.

Spaces for the programme are limited, so please register for the programme for international visitors as you register for the Open Days.

The Oudegracht (Old Canal) runs through the city centre and is unique due to its wharfs at the water's edge
