Special interest group: Academic Writing

In this session, we will discuss the academic writing elements within the BA programme Liberal Arts and Sciences. This interdisciplinary programme has a variety of writing assignments throughout the 3 years, each with different aims, forms and assessments. We will present the ways in which the student academic writing is assessed within our programme and how it contributes to the learning outcomes. This session will cover challenges related to creative, connective, and interdisciplinary writing. We would also aim to exchange and discuss topical challenges related to new forms of assignments and assessment, such as the implications of ChatGPT.
