The 2021 Conference of the History of Economics Society is organised on December 9-12 by Utrecht University. The Annual Conference of the History of Economics Society is one of the most important international gatherings of historians of economics. The conference provides an opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues, to learn about new research in the field, and to talk with journal and book editors and bloggers.

This year’s key note speakers are: Diane Coyle, Professor of Public Policy, University of Cambridge, UK and Jessica Wang, Professor of U.S. History, University of British Columbia, Canada.

Furthermore, The Institute for New Economic Thinking is hosting a 2021 Pre-HES Conference Workshop for Young Scholars.

This year’s conference will be online. The conference is organised in collaboration with the Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) and the Descartes Centre of Utrecht University.
