Advisory Committees

The Executive Board consults the following advisory bodies:
  • Teaching Advisory Committee
  • Board for the Conferral of Doctoral Degrees
  • Advisory Committee on the Quality of Personnel Policy (Adviescommissie Kwaliteit Personeelsbeleid, ACKP)
  • Advisory Committee on Internationalisation.

Teaching Advisory Committee

The Teaching Advisory Committee advises the Executive Board on teaching and the quality of teaching at Utrecht University. The Committee also aims to transfer knowledge about (the quality of) teaching to all parts of the University. The annual Onderwijsparade (Education Fair), organised by the Teaching Advisory Committee is a prime example of this. The Onderwijsparade is a platform for exchange, knowledge transfer and debate about quality of and developments in teaching. Chair: prof. dr. Board for the Conferral of Doctoral Degrees

The Board for the Conferral of Doctoral Degrees awards (honorary) doctorates and advises the Executive Board on the nominations of professors by special appointment. Chair: Professor G.J. Advisory Committee on the Quality of Personnel Policy
(Adviescommissie Kwaliteit Personeelsbeleid, ACKP)

Advisory Committee on Internationalisation

The University Advisory Committee on Internationalisation has as its remit to provide the Executive Board with solicited and unsolicited advice on Utrecht University’s internationalisation policy, including policy regarding international strategic collaboration and strategic policy regarding internationalisation of curricula. The Committee also provides the Executive Board with advice on the awarding of stimulus funds applications as part of the process of strengthening international strategic collaboration.
